Having started out in the construction industry, Adam moved into recruitment with a London based IT recruitment company. After 5 years working hard and playing hard he joined Datacenter People where he now works even harder but doesn’t have time to play as a young family keeps him busy at home.
Adam is a Spurs season ticket holder and can be heard commenting every Monday morning “that’s it, I am never going again”. When not hunting out the world’s datacenter talent, he can be found arguing with Steve over the best team in London. His biggest achievements include becoming top biller at Datacenter People and eating a whole Victoria sponge cake on his most recent birthday.

What The Job Involves
- Participating in the development of budget targets and implementation of the annual sales plan for Legrand Group brands.
- Increasing customer awareness of systems and products offered by the Legrand Group in the Data Center and Server Room area.
- Maintaining close contact with existing partners and seeking new potential customers to build lasting business relationships.
- Cooperating with Legrand's engineering team and support departments in Poland and abroad to develop offers, customize technical documentation, complete information according to customers' needs.
- Monitoring of the market and competition in the Data Center area.
- Systematic reporting of work results and information obtained from the market.
- Ongoing cooperation with those responsible for servicing the Data Center market in Europe.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Experience in a similar position.
- Good performance in sales positions, welcome in technical organizations related to electrical installations.
- Good knowledge of the English language.

What The Job Involves
- Lead the design and development of conceptual and detailed mechanical systems for new and existing data centers.
- Analyse cooling and air handling requirements to optimise efficiency, reliability, and energy consumption.
- Select and specify mechanical equipment based on industry best practices, project requirements, and sustainability considerations.
- Ensure mechanical system design seamlessly integrates with other systems (electrical, IT, etc.) through close collaboration with relevant teams. Oversee the commissioning process for new and upgraded mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
- Identify and resolve mechanical commissioning issues efficiently to maintain project progress.
- Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to ensure smooth construction and installation of mechanical components.
- Stay at the forefront of the latest trends and technologies in data center mechanical design and operation.
- Serve as the company’s internal expert on all mechanical aspects of data centers.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders across various departments.
- Represent the company in external project meetings, discussions, and negotiations with vendors and consultants.
- Communicate clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring transparency and understanding.
- Manage and maintain technical documentation related to data center mechanical systems.

- Lead the implementation of new technologies and best practices to enhance reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.

We’re Looking for Someone With
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7+ years' of experience in data center design and construction or equivalent experience in critical infrastructure.
- Proven track record of success in leading and executing complex mechanical engineering projects.
- English: fluent
- Experience on Mechanical Systems and discipline (HVAC, CFDs, Boilers, Chillers, Pumps, CRAC / CRAH Units, Air Handling Units, etc.).
- Strong understanding of data center thermal management, power distribution, and fire suppression systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive: Takes initiative and ownership of tasks without needing constant direction.
- Accountable: Admits mistakes, learns from them, and delivers on commitments.
- Agile: Learns quickly and applies new knowledge in practical situations.

What The Job Involves
- Technical support to the Design & Construction team.
- Create Conceptual Designs.
- Participate and validate the design principles regarding HVAC on a new building.
- Participate in the commissioning of the new buildings.
- Participate in the hand over process.
- Support the general project manager in any specific questions during the whole design & construction process.
- Answer to the customer’s SOQ/RFP questions related to their field of expertise.
- Be the customer interface in their field expertise mainly during the design stage or during the construction/commissioning phase.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10 years' of experience.
- LEED certification a plus.
- Experience with Electrical Systems.
- Familiar with the design process of building systems for mission critical projects.
- Revit experience is a plus.
- Computer savvy: MS Project.
- Fluent in English.
