The Client

Datacenter People is partnering with a global leader in power infrastructure for data centers and other mission-critical environments.

What The Job Involves 

• Develop innovative solutions designed and tailored to the unique needs of data center clients across Europe.
• Conduct technical assessments to ensure proposed solutions align with client requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with clients to gather technical and operational requirements, providing expert guidance on system architecture. Present proposed solutions to clients, effectively communicating technical details and value propositions.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies related to data center power distribution. Provide technical support during the pre-sales and post-sales phases, addressing any challenges or customisations.
• Work closely with sales, engineering, operations and manufacturing teams to ensure solutions are feasible, cost-effective, and meet project timelines. Partner with factory operations to align solution design with production capabilities and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the preparation of comprehensive and competitive proposals, including technical documentation, system diagrams, and cost estimates. Review and refine technical aspects of bids to ensure accuracy and alignment with client expectations.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the implementation process, ensuring the seamless execution of designed solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during project delivery, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
• Ensure all solutions comply with relevant industry regulations, standards, and safety requirements.
• Conduct quality reviews of designs and implementation to meet organisational and client standards.
• Act as a subject matter expert in data center solutions, contributing to internal knowledge sharing and training initiatives. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, showcasing technical expertise and thought leadership.

We’re Looking for Someone With

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the data center industry (connections with consultants is a preference but not essential).
• Proven track record as a solutions architect, ideally within data centers, electrical infrastructure, or similar high-tech industries.
• Capable of working with senior management staff of our customers.
• Experience in prospecting and engaging new customers.
• Familiarity with Data Center systems and electrical components is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in factory operations or project coordination is a plus.
• Strong project management, organisational, and communication skills.
• Technical understanding of data center infrastructure and related components.
• Proficiency in MS Office and bid management tools; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
