    The Client

    Datacenter People is partnering with a leading German data center operator that delivers colocation services across a highly secure network of facilities at central points in Europe.

    What The Job Involves 

    • Operation/service/maintenance/installation, maintenance and administration
    • activities of the technical infrastructure on site in a highly available data center in the megawatt range.
    • Recognising and rectifying malfunctions during operation with the help of the
    • BMS and monitoring system. Event maintenance in the central ticket
    • system and service desk. Reporting and tracking of detected faults, their
    • rectification and other special incidents.
    • Planning and carrying out switching and changeover operations with the data
    • center manager.
    • Implements energy efficiency measures and identifies areas of opportunity.
    • Supervision Management and control of external service and maintenance.
    • companies (including briefing at the start of work, control of work during the
    • working day/shift, final review of work carried out, maintenance operation logs).
    • Compliance with customer-specific service/operation level agreements
    • (SLA/OLA).
    • Compliance with laws and regulations, technical and business requirements,
    • supplier specifications and health and safety guidelines.
    • Support data center management in the operation of the facilities,
    • troubleshooting, identifying potential improvements and technical documents.
    • Electronic documentation of the activities carried out.
    • Managing orders, dispatch and goods receipt from various suppliers.
    • Ensuring quality and performance standards.
    • Supporting the data center management in operating the systems,
    • troubleshooting, identifying potential for improvement and technical documents.

    We’re Looking for Someone With

    • Detailed knowledge of transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, PDU
    • units, cooling and ventilation units, CRAC/CRAH units.
    • Knowledge of safety technologies: Fire protection, access control systems,
    • intrusion detection systems, video surveillance systems, acoustic systems,
    • Knowledge of electrical and air conditioning measurement systems.
    • Knowledge of building management systems and a monitoring/management
    • system.
    • Installation and maintenance of power and data cabling infrastructure.
    • Main residence around the center of Berlin, Brandenburg or Haveland.
    • Completed training as an electronics technician, mechatronics technician,
    • mechanic technician; computer scientist in the operation of data centers or in
    • the process-oriented industrial/production sector or a comparable qualification
    • Extensive experience in technically demanding environments.
    • Experience in management, project work, definitions, capacities and provision of
    • technical solutions for facility management.
    • At least 2 years of professional experience as a Data Center Engineer (DC
    • Engineer) TGA or equivalent.
    • Experience in operating, maintaining and repairing electrical systems,
    • refrigeration, air conditioning and HVAC systems.
    • Independent working style, communication skills and a high degree of personal
    • responsibility round o your profile, as well as very good MS O ice skills.
    • High degree of personal responsibility and result orientation, independent and
    • reliable way of working.
    • German language skills: C1, B2 or B1 spoken and written.
    • Work in a 24/7 shift schedule.
    • Participation in on-call duties, if required.
