    The Client

    Datacenter People is partnering with a leading German data center operator that delivers colocation services across a highly secure network of facilities at central points in Europe.

    What The Job Involves 

    • Develop and manage detailed site transition plans, including timelines, milestones, processes and resources. 
    • Coordinate and manage the transition process, ensuring all tasks are completed on time with an emphasis on operational process requirements for steady state operations. 
    • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues. 
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their needs. 
    • Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the transition to keep them informed of progress and any changes. 
    • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of the transition. 
    • Assure all necessary hirings together with HR. 
    • Analyse current processes and identify opportunities for improvement during the transition. 
    • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 
    • Ensure all new processes and procedures are documented and communicated to relevant parties. 
    • Rollout operating model as a project per site 
    • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure all employees are prepared for the transition. 
    • Assure that the team will be trained on all given processes, SOPs and EOPs as also the individual systems of the site. 
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to teams throughout the transition period. 
    • Address any issues or concerns that arise during the transition promptly and effectively. 
    • Ensure all transition activities meet quality standards and comply with company policies and regulations. 
    • Conduct post-transition evaluations to assess the success of the transition and identify areas for future improvement. 
    • Gather feedback from stakeholders and use it to refine and improve transition processes. 

    We’re Looking for Someone With

    • Proven track record of successfully managing projects in a similar field.
    • Previous experience of working within a Project Environment and dealing with design and construction engineering professionals 
    • A fully verifiable trade or engineering qualification in a relevant engineering discipline and verifiable additional training that is relevant to the proposed environment. 
    • 5 or more years’ experience at Manager or Supervisor level in a critical environment (preference is given to data centre, hospital, pharmaceutical production or power plant experience). 
    • An excellent understanding and experience of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data centre environment, including: Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Fuel Systems, Switchgear, UPS systems, Battery banks, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units, CRAC units, Fire Alarm systems, and Fire  Suppression systems. 
    • Experience of complex automatic control equipment, including relay logic, programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), building management systems, and their integration with the data centre infrastructure 
    • Experience of medium voltage distribution systems and associated switch gear and protection equipment.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with the client and with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on the data centre systems.
    • Computer literate with the ability to compile and submit regular reports and develop procedural documentation and presentations.
