The Client
Datacenter People is partnering with a European specialist data center operator that delivers services through a campus model. Today they own and operate 22 data centers across France, Italy, Spain, Poland and Luxembourg.
What The Job Involves
- DIMS: Respect and enforce the certification policy and be proactive in improving the Integrated Management System (IMS) with stakeholders.
- H&S: Respect and enforce health and safety rules.
- Environment: Respect and enforce environmental policies.
- Information security: Respect and enforce information security policies.
- Energy: Respect and enforce the policy of energy management policy.
- Hires and inducts the right team of DC Infrastructure Lead, Energy Manager, Operational Quality Manager, DC Operations Contract Manager.
- Develops people, owns training programs, manages performance, and ensures succession planning.
- Defines performance targets and implements improvement plans with France Country Director to address performance issues.
- Issues periodic operational performance reports, and ensures operational standards align with the business and industry best practices.
- Drives continuous improvement and lessons learned, manages risks within own scope
- Manages COGS and CAPEX budgets, accountable for budget early warnings.
- Works with other teams to constantly improve the level of service rendered internally and to our customers.
- Defines the 3-years' roadmap in collaboration with France Country Director and Global Data Center France Operations Director
- Assists with special queries from other countries such as new data center launch, crisis resolution, or any other operations related topic.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- 10+ years' experience in similar position or in mission-critical operation, with background in incident management and resolution.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Energy Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Fluent English (B2/C1).
- Experience in people management.
- Experience with complex systems.
- Experience with change management and facility management.
- Experience with incident management, incident resolution and learning from errors.
- Agile with IT tools – knowledge of ticketing tools such as JIRA, Proxima or Remedy.
- KPI and metrics management and analysis.
- Experience in managing people’s managers.
- Familiar with customer success management in Data Centers.
- Effective communication – emails, phone and face to face.
- Strong work ethics and trustworthiness, capability of building a trusting. relationship with peers and senior leadership.
- Strategic thinking and ability to build a multiple year vision.
- Capability of conveying strategic ideas through written documents.

- Knowledge of building codes and construction industry standards.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Must have or be able to obtain a passport
- Must have demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of a Commissioning Engineer.
- Five (5) years of experience in the commissioning field including performance contracting requirements.
- Must be proficient in BCA, PECI and/or ASHRAE commissioning procedures.
- Hospital, biotech, data center, and energy analysis experience is preferred.

What The Job Involves
- Lead, drive, and distribute work within the project.
- Monitor Company’s interests as a supplier and handle risks and opportunities, anticipating future consequences responsibly and accurately.
- Lead and take overall responsibility including the project’s financials, governance, and oversight.
- Build the project organizstion and implement QA/QC and health & safety management systems.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Possesses a post-secondary education, preferably in engineering.
- Has prior experience in a leadership role managing large, complex, fast track projects (over 50 million EUR).
- Has thorough experience from installations and technical systems in data centers, and the cooperation model between suppliers and international clients.
- Understands business models and contracts which are standard in
- international data center projects.
- Has led large organisations with multiple levels, including direct staff and subcontractors.
- Is fluent in English, both spoken and written; Swedish or Norwegian is an advantage.
Experience with commissioning and startup of data center mechanical systems.

What The Job Involves
- Lead the design and development of conceptual and detailed mechanical systems for new and existing data centers.
- Analyse cooling and air handling requirements to optimise efficiency, reliability, and energy consumption.
- Select and specify mechanical equipment based on industry best practices, project requirements, and sustainability considerations.
- Ensure mechanical system design seamlessly integrates with other systems (electrical, IT, etc.) through close collaboration with relevant teams. Oversee the commissioning process for new and upgraded mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
- Identify and resolve mechanical commissioning issues efficiently to maintain project progress.
- Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to ensure smooth construction and installation of mechanical components.
- Stay at the forefront of the latest trends and technologies in data center mechanical design and operation.
