    The Client

    What the Job Involves

    • Stakeholder Communication.
    • Contract Management.
    • Quality Assurance.
    • Manage the cost change process and negotiate best pricing in partnership with cross functional/matrixed team members in cost and schedule. 
    • Manage the schedule and associated risks to ensure reliable and predictable turnover dates. Reporting upward on opportunities, risks, and mitigations to ensure predictable delivery of capacity. 
    • Accountable for the development of cost savings solutions and early identification of project savings/underruns to ensure target values are maintained which providing predictable delivery of capacity to the business. 
    • Lead and mentor the construction team by providing guidance and support. 
    • Promote and model an attitude of continuous improvement, partnership, and teamwork in behaviours and communications.

    We’re Looking for Someone Who

    • 10+ years’ experience working construction project management, preferably in data centers.
    • Strong background in Project Management methodologies.
    • Experience in managing a construction project. 
    • Experience with the design and deployment of technical electrical and mechanical systems (electrical or mechanical background. 
    • Experience in Continuous Process Improvement and defining and managing associated metrics and KPIs. 
    • Experience in data centres or a similar mission critical environment is considered a significant advantage though not essential this will be a key consideration should multiple candidates be assessed for suitability. 
    • Experience of working in a European multi-cultural environment.
    • Highly proficient in spoken and written English (C1 or C2 level of CEFR).
    • Good German language skills (B2 level of CEFR).

      What The Job Involves

      • Ensuring the design team meets all project deliverables with adherence to budget, quality and schedule. 
      • Manage the project team, including all support staff e.g. DES, EngBIM. 
      • Manage local team support of worldwide projects - project size may merit a separate project specific DM. 
      • Manage all the projects under IRE TI Project, such as AZ.
      • Manage extra scope of work, such as MDP pilot, Cranes, HUPW.
      • Manage TIBB scope of work.
      • Attend/Lead meetings with Intel and internally (IR Check in, Package out, Staff Meeting, Ops, AZ huddle, AZ Check in, DES Feedback, BI weekly, Leads meeting, check out and any meeting required in short notice).

      We’re Looking for Someone With

      • Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline. A higher national qualification (HNC, HND) may be acceptable with suitable professional experience. 
      • At least 10 years post-qualification experience involving multi-disciplinary designs.
      • Sound knowledge with broad experience in design, installation and management of multi-disciplinary design services. 
      • Self-motivated rational thinker with good motivational skills able to communicate with all disciplines at all levels.
      • Well organised and capable of organising others with the ability to manage people, processes and time. 
      • Team player with an energetic outlook able to educate and improve design team staff to achieve best results. 
      • Ability to analyse and monitor project requirements including programme, resource & cost.
      • Ability to work to deadlines, under pressure and on own initiative. 
      • The post holder should possess a current driving licence.

      Datacenter People is partnering with an international company focussed on investment, development and management of real estate, including data centres, across Europe and Asia.

      What The Job Involves

      • Manage construction for European Assets including asset enhancement and new builds.
      • Managing asset enhancement projects including, but not limited to DC infrastructure
      • Upgrades, End of lifecycle refreshes, fit out works of customer areas.
      • Identifying and reviewing new/progressive technologies and design advancements that could aid or enhance the CapitaLand DC design, efficiencies and construction.
      • Development of project financial plans and programs, and to deliver projects to completion on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all internal and external stakeholders.
      • Identifying, reducing and managing all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety,
      • commercial or otherwise) associated with each project.
      • Ensuring appropriate control systems to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are met.
      • Working with Site Team to manage project work in “live” data center environments.
      • Delivering effective business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriate.

      We’re Looking for Someone With

      • Degree in Building Services, Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
      • Minimally 5 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably having been in a technical services / mission critical environment.
      • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently across multiple locations in EMEA.
      • Proven engineering experience in either an M&E, FM, construction or critical environment.
      • Experience in DC operations and/or fit-out projects is required.
      • Recognised professional technical qualification in either a mechanical or electrical discipline.
