The Client
Datacenter People is partnering with the leading global design and consultancy organisation for today's built environment. Their team of data center experts is dedicated to the design and delivery of mission critical facilities.
What the Job Involves
- Providing support to Project Teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Providing project level reports including detailed analysis of project cost and changes.
- Maintaining and controlling budgets from design concept through to project completion.
- Assisting with change management and control of total project costs (general contractors, direct suppliers, and professional appointments).
- Analysing projects to ensure that project funding is adequate by performing estimates, cost forecasts, cost trends, and accrual of actual costs.
- Developing cost estimates for civil, structural, architectural, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical disciplines.
- Preparing material, labor, and equipment cost estimates for concept designs, design development documents, bid documents, and change orders.
- Estimating and negotiating potential change orders.
- Completing cost validation and quantity surveying on an as needed basis.
- Monitoring and audit compliance.
- Reconciling program and project controls data with the client’s fiscal and financial controls systems.
- Presenting results of cost analyses to senior staff and clients.
We’re Looking for Someone Who
- Understanding of construction means and methodology.
- Ability to read and understand design information.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to engage with the client and key stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Focus on health and safety.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying) or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong software skills.

Commissioning Manager

The ClientDatacenter People is working with a global data center services provider delivering project management, engineering design and critical facility management to hyperscale, colocation, and edge leaders.
What The Job Involves
- Carry out the role of a Lead/Senior CxA (Commissioning Agent) / CxM (Commissioning manager) on mission critical projects, to include duties such as – Chairing meetings / leading technical workshops / Managing Mechanical and electrical IRL’s on projects.
- Script development and review.
- Cx script sign off and approval.
- Design Review.
- RCA (Root cause analysis) / Problem solving and trouble shooting.
- Review available training documentation and effectively apply it to daily activities.
- Communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally with Clients / Engineers of Record / GC's / Subs / Vendors.
- Learn the Cx process to effectively implement in the field.
- Develop Cx procedures with use of a template.
- Become familiar with testing durations to assist PM with Cx Schedule development.
- Understand load bank requirement needs to develop a plan for an entire project (size, quantity, special connection requirements).
- With assistance, connect PQM test equipment on all types of data center equipment.
- Operate (under supervision) PQM test equipment on all types of data center equipment.
- Execute functional testing with support of team members.
- Fill in a daily onsite testing log.
- Perform infrared (IR) scanning/analysis and record data in spreadsheet.
- Mark IR Photos.
- Record PQM data in spreadsheet.

We’re Looking for Someone With
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineer degree level 8 or higher.
- Working mechanical and electrical knowledge.
